He’s Back

President Bush will be in town on Monday to raise money for eastside Republican Congressman Dave Reichert. A similar visit last year, in the run-up to the 2006 elections, ended up becoming a huge fund raising opportunity for Reichert’s Democratic opponent, Darcy Burner, who will be running against Reichert again in 2008.

With that in mind, the Burner campaign is trying to turn Monday’s visit from Bush into another chance to get local Democrats to rally around Burner.

To highlight Reichert’s staunch support of Bush and the Iraq war, the Burner campaign will be holding an online Town Hall Forum about Iraq. The pitch, from Ambassador Joseph Wilson:

the big question - is the murdering narcissist travelling from boeing field to bellevue by helicoptor or by motorcade?

if the latter, what route will he take? i-90 would be my guess.

will the AHJ allow us little people to hang "you fucking suck" signs off any & every overpass along the route, and toss eggs down on his armored SUV?

my guess would be no.

It is rather appalling for Ms. Burner to resurrect Joe Wilson for support. His only claim to fame is that he complained to the New York Times about that there were no uranium deals in Niger involving Saddam yet his OWN report did not reach that conclusion but left it ambiguous. He’s married to a limelight seeking former CIA agent whose covert status was always in doubt since they were to toast of Washington D.C. social circles and everyone knew their positions – then they moved to Santa Fe only to infect that poor town with yet more elitist snobbery.

It’s also appalling that Ms. Burner is going after the Reichert with same tired old arguments about the Iraq war, when in the final analysis is that no reasonable congressperson wants to leave that country hanging and become even a greater cesspool for terrorists. Ms Burner has no clear thinking whatsoever about anything. Please have pity on her.

@4:
yeah, Bill-O, and Rush have been gibber-jabbering on about those very same things, for like forever now.

Sweet Jeebus man, at least try a thought of your own once, just give a shot, it'll be okay.

we should just tomato all politicians who try to thrust with the adeptness of a virgin 25 year old man for support. none of them will ever ACTUALLY represent my values, or anyone else's, so fuck 'em all.
