I will never forget drinking some of his earthworm-smelling wine on a visit to the Gondola-accessible winery during Corflu in the mid-80s.

On the other hand, because of that trip, found some great bargain wines at nearby wineries.

I grew up with one if their distribution warehouses on my street. Exactly 2 blocks from my house. My friends and I would walk in there in broad daylight and comandeer cases of their product without any protest from the employees. I will always have a soft spot for Erkin' and Jerkin' Brandy.

Then there's that whole Orson Wells thing, too.
