Another Reason to Delete Your Myspace Account

Sure, it’s a time-waster at work, but this is even worse. Hat tip to Kerri Harrop.

Good thing they haven't heard of Facebook.

Especially my Seminar Junkies group.

actually facebook is funded in part by the CIA. they already have your info, sucker.

I don't get it: people are posting personal information about themselves on a public site on the damn INTERNET, and they expect privacy? How about this is another reason not to be an idiot about what you post on the frickin' Web?

It's more along the lines of public surveillance.

You go out into public every day and buy things and meet people and talk and do stuff, but you don't expect the government to be watching your every step, tracking who you're talking to, cataloging all of actions and contacts into a database to be used for who knows what honestly.

This isn't any different, it's just on-line.

An attorney friend summed it up rather succinctly for me back in 1995:
Before you post *anything* on the internet, consider first if you'd be willing to print it out, walk to the nearest cross-street and attach it to the utility pole. If the answer is 'yes' - post away; if not, then don't.

I've never used MySpace, and I hate looking at MySpace sites. Woe that so many bands are using them instead of traditional websites! But that's not what I find worrying about this story - I'm more concerned about NSA tracing every page I visit, every item I purchase, every bank transaction I make. it's fucking creepy.

What Levislade said. I figured years ago that the Feds could monitor everything I posted and wrote on the intarweb. Nothing new.
