Off-topic for Mr. Feit: Below is my letter to The New York Times re sedition & civil liberties, issues sort-of pertinent to your interests in McCarthy & McCarran:
The newspaper of record failed to record (yesterday, May 3) the party affiliation of Montana's governor whose Sedition Act was the Draconian model for Woodrow Wilson's. The newspaper of record did not fail to link Montana's abrogation of civil liberties in 1918 with a Republican president who was not born until 1946.
Montana's governor Sam Stewart, like his imperious president in 1918, was a Democrat.
