Who Elected Laura Bush?

This reminds me of the stink that Republicans raised when Hilary said something - anything. Ignore it, move on, and keep your eye on the real targets.

As for whether or not Laura knows how the Republican House is run, if she is like her mother in law, then she probably knows more than her husband.

When did we elect Hillary Clinton to revamp the nation's health care system? I don't remember any of her adoring fans being perplexed by that.

oddthumbs

two totally different things

Oddthumbs: The same folks who are pusing Laura Bush front-and-center to defend the Bush adminstration—she's practically they're official spokeshill these days—ordered Hill to sit down and shut up.

Oh, and her health care program? Too complicated—unlike Bush's drug program. That's been smooth sailing.

I still don't see the point of your post. Laura Bush didn't insult Hillary Clinton. All she said was that her comments were "ridiculous". And the only person being told to sit down and shut up is Laura Bush!

Belltowner: you're right, they are two totally different things. One, a comment (god forbid this first lady actually has an opinion), and one the bungled overhaul of a sizeable chunck of the US economy by someone who isn't qualified to undertake such a task.

And since when do you have to be elected to say someone's comments were ridiculous?

Lame opinion. Akin to sexism, and very old fashioned.

Does the most powerful Woman Leader in the USA in the last century, Ms. ELEANOR ROOSEVELT, ring a bell or two.

She set the very high standard for the modern version of a presidential wife, and surely was never silent about anything, much to the benefit of the country, and the world.

And the FDR haters attacked her with gusto for not staying home as the dutiful White House wife.

Better to judge Laura on her verbal content not her silence.

I always was glad that Nancy, Barbara, and Betty were around.

Their husbands were so impaired by comparison..

Um, duh. Laura's out making comments because she's one of the few people in the Administration whose approval ratings are above 40%.

Um, hasn't EVERY first lady in history gone around the country and run her mouth?

Hello and congratulations!
