I can't stop looking at this chart:


We're number three! We're number three! At least, we're tied with Oakland for third. But we beat out Boston, New York City, Chicago, Portland... The dry 85-page study that produced this chart, which comes out in the American Political Science Review soon, is here. What does this mean? Do we get to have more than one Socialist on the city council? Are we finally gonna open up public pot cafes? Do Republicans in Seattle get some sort of consolation coffee mug now? Does the Space Needle have to fly the Pride flag year-round?
