onWhatever, Jonah.
That shit is great, but “gold standard”? Nopes. Plus, everyone knows that Judge Reinhold’s finest role was Honorable Judge Reinhold in the secretly awesome Clerks animated series:
And also, to the commenters who brought up 1976’s original Freaky Friday, that’s my personal favorite too. I linked to it in my original post, but in case you missed it:
BARBARA HARRIS 4 EVER.
And whether it’s the gold standard or not, I stand by my original assertion that:
“Big was received with almost unanimous critical acclaim, and is considered by many critics the gold standard of movies in which a child is trapped in an adult’s body”did not ever, ever need to be written down.
Okay, I’ve totally lost track of what we’re talking about here. Big American Party! Everybody disco dancing! Who is driving? Oh my god bear is driving! How can that be!?
Wha—Zzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzz.

What has happened to you? This had better be the first of nany. HAHAHAH! Me.
Speaking of Barbara Harris, the best adult-trapped-in-teenage-body has to be Peggy Sue Got Married!
Nic Cage with something close to talent!
Kathleen Turner before she got all Carrie Fisher-ized!
Jim Carry playing his usual dick self!
Helen Hunt pretending to be a teenager!
OH NO BEAR IS DRIVING!
HOW CAN THAT BE?
I loved The Clerks animated series.
Wasn't Charles Barkley on the jury over which the Honorable Judge Reinhold presided?
Meagan, I think you're thinking of "Mock Trial with J. Reinhold, and the William Hung Jury."
Oh, come on. Judge Reinhold's best work was in Ruthless People! The best part starts at about 8:50.
My name is Judge.
Cheers to Lucky for the correction. The image of him in his stapled suit and saying Judge Reinhold's line. "I read somewhere that Judge Judy earned $20 million dollars last year and I've never even heard of the guy" makes for awesomeness.
"My name is Judge"
Car full of midgets!
Oh no, Bear is driving! How can that be?
Korean animation studio!
OMG thank you lindy, not only do I looooove the clerks animated series, but that is one of the best parts. Me and my sister constantly discuss bears driving.
best clip on slog ever.
Barbara Harris is an under-appreciated Goddess.
Go rent NASHVILLE and check out her pipes.
OMG BEAR IS DRIVING! Thank you Lindy, you just made my night of midterm-cramming much more enjoyable. The Clerks animated series was amazing, all six episodes.
And while I love Judge Reinhold in the Clerks cartoon, obviously Arrested Development's Judge Reinhold was better.
K quoted the best line - "Car full of midgets!" - but I also love "Tom Cruise! You can't handle the truth show me the money!"
I just worked on a movie with Judge Reinhold- he's the strangest person I've ever met.
