This Isn’t as Personally Upsetting as Grant Cogswell and His Straight Friend in a Dress Getting Bashed in Belltown…

…but comedian/comic actor Bernie Mac has died.

His publicist is attributing the death to “natural causes,” but Mac was recently hospitalized with pneumonia, three years after he announced that the inflammatory disease sarcoidosis had taken root in his lungs.

RIP, Bernie Mac.

Bernie, I didn't particularly like your comedy, but RIP anyway, man.

Say what you will about the comedy either way, but I don't think you can knock the man behind it.

I liked Bernie Mac. 50 is too young to go.

when he was playing scary, cynical and ruthless characters in films he was great. but his tv show...all wrong for him. 50 is definitely too young. he had more to offer us--some further good parts in films awaited him in the future, i'm sure.

Isaac Hayes, too, now. Not been a good year - too many folks going before their time.
