After four weekends, the Louis Leterrier-directed “The Incredible Hulk” has earned $125 million, the same as what “Hulk” had pulled in at the same time in its run. “Hulk” finished with $132 million, and its successor is unlikely to do much better.
Maybe people just don’t like CGI Hulk.
Via Kung Fu Rodeo.
If Bradley Steinbacher had starred in it, it would have done $100,000,000,000!!!!!
Kelly O and Ari Spool give Paul Constant can of Rize, Paul Constant drink Rize, freak out, OG SFX Hulk out, PAUL CONSTANT BECOME OG SFX HULK!
OG SFX HULK WILL SMASH PHONY CGI HULK!
And no, I don't feel like letting it go.
I'd see it if I was bored, but the ads really did look dumb. The CGI didn't look any better than a videogame cut-scene, so kids probably just stayed home and played video games.
Way more excited about the puppets and costumes in Hell Boy 2.
Unlike Batman or Spider-Man, the Hulk never had this amazing psychodrama/back-story to draw you in (he gets mad, he bulges and greens). I'm amazed the w(h)iz kids who make movies this day can't tell what the deal is. No, actually, I'm not. The same brainless idiots canceled Firefly and Futurama.
Why do people even pay attention to theater receipts anymore? The real money is in DVDs and foreign.
I liked Kung Fu Panda a lot better than the Hulk.
The real money is in toys and spinoff items.
DC Comics rule! Marvel (kind of sucks). (The gauntlet is thrown!)
@7 Blasphemy!
That sucks! It was fairly awesome, good enough that as far as I'm concerned, Ang Lee's Hulk doesn't exist, just like the Star Wars prequels.
It was a decent movie ... I'll give it that!
I liked Ang Lee's Hulk a lot better. I'll grant that it didn't appeal to the average American attention span, though...
