The sense of relief is felt evermore by Americans living overseas, love from Brussels!

Those multiple false climaxes were only "false climaxes" if you were for Obama to begin with, dude.

@2: Not true. Remember when Clinton was going to wrap it up on Super Tuesday?

Thanks for your work, I've enjoyed your coverage.

Congrats to Obama, our Democratic Presidential Nominee.

Let's just all stop talking about her. This is Obama's day.

Congrats to Obama, our Democratic Presidential Nominee.

Thanks for your evenhanded coverage, Eli.

What no live blogging of the three speeches tonight? Sheesh.

Posted by Cato | June 3, 2008 2:29 PM

What, no election night parties?

Posted by Will in Seattle | June 3, 2008 2:30 PM

No. I smoke a lot of pot.

Eli, you've taken political coverage to near-Tantric levels, you poor thing.

I echo @4 and thank you for all the hard work, the long hours, and the obvious craft and passion you bring to your work. It's completely accurate to say that, without your posts, I would have given up giving a damn about all this a while ago and just let them fight it out.

As it stands, due to your coverage, I feel more informed about an election than I ever have before.

Cheers to you, sir!

OK, yes the primaries are over, but there is a pesky little thing called an election that still has to happen. Will you be covering that?

Or, at this point does Obama just get crowned president and fuck all the rest of that democracy shit?

p.s. That's not to say I'm criticizing your post, I have appreciated your coverage and am hoping that after you rest up you'll move on to the general election.

Obama speech is scheduled for 7pm Pacific Time, according to a mass-emailing by the Obama Campaign.

Congratulation to John McCain - the next POTUS.

Posted by Odrama | June 3, 2008 3:17 PM

Eli besides being a mouth piece or Omama you have brought nothing to the election reporting.

I will be so glad when this is over. I was excited and very undecided at first. But especially for the last month or so, it has just become grueling. Any excitement I once had has long been beaten to death.

Thanks so much Eli, I have really enjoyed all your 2008 posts.

And your live-blogs are some of the best in the biz. :)

Looking forward to moving foward.

I've actually really enjoyed your coverage also, Eli. That said, I'm thrilled this primary stuff is just about wrapped up. Enough already.

What do you have planned for the general?

Posted by ahava | June 3, 2008 3:34 PM

Just going to add my praise to the chorus. Thanks for all the hard work.

Me too. Your coverage -- and that of your coworkers -- has been excellent.

Posted by Fnarf | June 3, 2008 4:46 PM

Thanks, Eli. We will all take a break before going into GE mode.
