Holy shit, I hope that's paint and not a tattoo. That's a stupid-ass tattoo.

Posted by Carollani | January 16, 2008 5:27 PM

i concur, carollani. poor, poor stupid, stupid girl to get...that.

Posted by adrian | January 16, 2008 5:31 PM

Wow, that's going to leave a pretty big scar when she tries to laser it off.

Posted by seriously | January 16, 2008 5:31 PM

My favorite part of that game is when you sell your kids off at the end in order to become a millionaire.

Posted by Trevor | January 16, 2008 5:33 PM

Yes, quite idiotic.

Sooo..... is Project Runway being liveslogged tonight by one of the fine Stranger staff members?

When she's 35, everyone is going to wonder why she wears a turtleneck even when it's 95 degrees outside.

Posted by Mahtli69 | January 16, 2008 6:15 PM

Never really loved the game, but the spinner was always strangely satisfying.

Posted by lifer | January 16, 2008 6:20 PM

a girl after my own heart, don't let the haters faze you. proclaim your views on that awful game to everyone

Posted by vooodooo84 | January 16, 2008 6:21 PM

Thats pretty bad. It looks just as stupid as every other tattoo I have ever seen.

Posted by ZWBush | January 16, 2008 6:50 PM

You know--the sad thing is that has to be planned out and done over a long, long, time. When the love is gone, you can't explain it away as "I woke up, and it was just there...."

Posted by NapoleonXIV | January 16, 2008 7:03 PM

I think it's hot...

Posted by Vasya | January 16, 2008 7:44 PM

Those are impressive colors, I don't know anything about tattoos, but it looked like paint to me until I followed the link... Um, Thanks a lot Dan, I knew there was some weird shit out there, but I really didn't need to know about split tongues WTF! split!? and scalpeling, branding I had heard of, I'm not that naive.

What happened to that poor girl (OK, I mean young woman, but I'm guessing something happened when she was a "girl"), for her, I imagine "the game of life" probably does suck

Yes I live a pretty sheltered life, however, I did once pick up a book of skin art on a remainders table, and there are way worse tats than that.

Posted by Epimetheus | January 16, 2008 7:45 PM

Makes me kind of want a tattoo now.

Posted by elenchos | January 16, 2008 7:46 PM

the colors are really nice ... please. that's sort of saying she has a nice personality.

Posted by superyeadon | January 16, 2008 8:10 PM

Nice tits - oops - I meant tat.

Hey, at least it's not a screaming skull with a mohawk...

Posted by Swino | January 16, 2008 8:20 PM

She could score some rich dork.

Posted by Mr. Poe | January 16, 2008 8:59 PM

Reckon this is what becomes of those who don't go to college and plunge straight into business.

Posted by Gully Foyle | January 16, 2008 9:00 PM

Tongues are not the only thing you'll find split down the middle on modblog...

Posted by COMTE | January 16, 2008 9:06 PM

Wow, that looks like it cost a mint. Pity, 'cause it's not only fugly but stupid.

Posted by genevieve | January 16, 2008 9:23 PM

Nice bra strap too.

Posted by The Watcher | January 16, 2008 10:40 PM

Much as I find I have to admire the art, I just don't believe it. It's like getting a portrait of your ex tattooed on your chest the week AFTER you break up.

Although explaining it at Savage's Valentine's bash would be a hoot...

Apt post for you to comment on, Gully. "Deep space is my resting place, the stars my destination."

Posted by Besterfan | January 16, 2008 11:11 PM

yeah, life sucks.

that tattoo is sweet.

Posted by greg | January 16, 2008 11:42 PM

her breasts are gorgeous

Posted by matt | January 17, 2008 3:42 AM

Remember the commercial for it? "You! can be a winner at the game of L--- oh. Not you, tattoo girl. Countryside Acres retirement home for your split-level ass."

Posted by Christin | January 17, 2008 6:45 AM

Nice to see Gully Foyle here. Vorga! I kill you deadly!
Shouldn't there be federal laws against this sort of thing? I saw a picture of a woman who had blood drinking Care Bears tattooed on her chest. Oh, the humanity.

Posted by --MC | January 17, 2008 7:30 AM

At first I thought it was paint or some sort of fake tattoo, mainly because of the colors used, they seemed too bright. However, after following the links and pictures of the work in progress, I can't believe someone would do this, and feel comfortable years later about having this...

anyway here is the woman's profile..

Posted by ted | January 17, 2008 7:57 AM

Damn. There are some real haters commenting here. I think the tattoo is rad. I think it takes courage to make this sort of statement. Not to mention the tattoo is beautifully done.

Posted by Secret South | January 17, 2008 8:58 AM

The design and colors of the tattoo are fine, it is well done. However, to have this for life, right in front of you day in, day out, is a head shaker, IMHO. It is her body, and to each their own, but to put it there is either ballsy, or someone is missing a sandwich or two to make a picnic.

Posted by Ted | January 17, 2008 9:24 AM

This is good. It's a big, helpful sign saying, "Crazy. Do not have sex with this woman."

Posted by Greg | January 17, 2008 10:39 AM

hey thanks for all the comments about both my tattoo and my tits. . . very sweet of you all.

the thing about art is that its up to the person that wears it and trust me there are much wosre things to have tattooed on you than this . . . not only speaking of ideas but the actual quality of the work. i've won quite a few awards for this piece and i suspect that i will continue to do so.

i AM a tattoo artist and a heavily modified person (you spoke of tongue splitting, i have this done and i did it to myself). i HAVE go to college, i am a professional photographer, and i am planning on going back to school to study sociology. i am NOT crazy thank you very much greg (above). i just choose to treat my body as MY BODY and i encourage you all to do the same.

as far as the the idea of the tattoo itself, its very sarcastic and cynical, which is a huge part of my personality, tho not the entiretly of it. "this game sucks" is a long running joke and despite the fact that people dont get that, i love this tattoo and i will continue to do so until the day i die. you're all entitled to your opinion, but ultimately its MY tattoo and MY body and from what i can read of your personalities in what some (most really) of you have said, none of you are the kind of person whos opinion i really value.

take care.

nikki (yes ACTUALLY the girl with this tattoo)

Posted by nicole inman | January 18, 2008 6:04 PM

i will go ahead and mention that i did notice my own typos. i'm sure that if i dont someone else would do so to try show that i'm an idiot. . . i'm not i'm just not a great typist or proof reader. you all shouldnt take things so seriously.

Posted by nicole inman | January 18, 2008 6:11 PM

I cannot believe how shallow you guys are. It's really disgusting what our society has become. Ripping on this poor girl about her tattoo? You don't know her, you don't know why she got it, and you don't care. That's how people spend their afternoons, apparently. Judging other people and their decisions because you are too afraid to find your own flaws.

And by the way, I know Nikki, and she is one hell of a girl. She's super sweet, super awesome. But what do you care. You just take her for what you see, not who she is.

Posted by Beth Nolin | January 18, 2008 7:11 PM

Are you kidding me? This is so ridiculous! You all want to sit up here and talk crap about a piece of art! Thats right, this tattoo is art! Nikki is a talented and sweet person. I hope that one day you will all get a life and realize she didn't ask for your opinion, nor did she ask for your approval! I can honestly say that nothing that any of you can say will make her change her mind about how beautiful her tattoo is!

Nikki has done a few pieces of art on me, and I love them! She is a great artist and a great person. So if any of you have any more negative things to say maybe you should take a look at yourself, nude, in the mirror and reflect on what it is that you really don't like about yourself before you go and criticize someone you don't even know!

Posted by Laura | January 18, 2008 7:31 PM

Rock on, Nikki.

Posted by Abby | January 18, 2008 9:07 PM

Nikki, I have known you ever since I got my first tattoo at 18. I know a lot about you and this has to be one of my favorite tattoos that you have on your body. Fuck the haters, they're just have their heads to far up their asses to realize that there are people out there strong enough to express their views in ink (wink) anyhow, keep it goin and I can't wait to come get my next tat from you! I can't wait to see your side all finished!!!

Posted by Nici B. | January 18, 2008 9:25 PM

I like those who judge others in such negative ways that they don't even know; it just goes to show you how shallow some people can be.

I think it looks amazing and is a great and very original tattoo, too bad its not a flash piece of barb wire or tribal and every one else has.

Nikki, you are one of the coolest people I have gotten a chance to know, and I am greatful for that, and you smell nice too!
