Just in case you weren’t aware, here’s more evidence that Seattle’s own Jim Woodring is one of the greatest living comic artists. Check out more of his art here and here.
Jim Woodring's Frank series is absolute shining gold. WATCH THE VIDEO!
The colors looks so bright and pretty here! The print version is darker and less eye-catching, I think.
Jim Woodring is a national treasure.
I like how the cover implies that Manhog is Dan Savage and that the twisted landscape is Eastern Washington.
AWESOME! I fully engulfed myself in his work when he did a vinyl opening at OKOK in Ballard. Guess I'll have to leave the house and go pick one up.
#2: Ink on newsprint can be a tad unpredictible. Luckily, eveything looks great on a nice bright computer screen.
