The Stranger Suggests
Legend
George Jones at Paramount Theatre
George Jones is the greatest country musician alive today. He's amazingly prolific (I stopped counting his releases at 75), and, like Hank Williams, Jones sings hard; emotion just pours out of him. This guy has lived a tough life—76 years of booze and drugs and heartbreak—and his aching voice pulls at your heart. You know he means it when he sobs: "Well, one more drink of wine/then if you're still on my mind/one drink, just one more—and then another." (Paramount, 911 Pine St, 628-0888. 7:30 pm, $44–$55, all ages.)
KIM HAYDEN
Vomit.
"Greatest Country Musician Alive Today?"
On behalf of Les Paul, Loretta Lynn, Merle Haggard, Ralph Stanley and Willie Nelson, I officially call shenanigans.
...plus, he looks like Jim Carey's dad.
I mean, what's that about?
This is the sort of SHIT the Stranger is suggesting??? Fuck I would rather have a chain saw shoved up my ass with no lube and then started full speed!!!
#4 said it before I could think of it. But yeah. That.
Whoever this 'Kim Hayden' bitch is, it's time to go.
Second the 'Jim Carey's dad' post. Just that much makes him cool
All of you people are morons. George Jones kicks ass. Get your hipster shit out of my way.
Conga Master Poncho Sanchez kicked George Jones' ass. True story.
George Jones isn't worthy to clean Willie Nelson's bongs. Boring old alcoholic corporate country- there's a straight line from George Jones to Mindy McReady. No thanks.
yallz is crazy.
george INVENTED nash-vegas.
