posted by on October 27 at 15:29 PM

In case you’ve missed it, Annie Wagner and John Longenbaugh have been having it out deep in comments-land—in the comments on this post yesterday.

Now, for your listening pleasure, here is Charles Mudede reading an excerpt from Longenbaugh’s comments.

Hello Charles:

Oh my god, that's hilarious! It sounds just like John Houseman on Qualuudes!

Dude! You should do that at parties!

Unless, of course, that's your real voice.

In which case, I'm sorry.

I'd return the favor, but for the life of me, every time I try to read your writing, my eyes glaze over and I pass out.

That man sounds GREAT. He's got a deep, ominous storytelling voice. I strongly suggest doing this again.

More of Mudede talking, plz!

See, I still think it would sound funnier if Daffy Duck was reading it.

Modesty, please.

I keep thinking of Orson Welles..."We shall sell no wine before its time!"

Listen to this:

Sorry Mr. Wells for mispelling your name. I hate that.

Mr. Longenbaugh, your comments on this blog are pearls thrown before swine.

Gee, I dunno - sounds more like Charles Laughton, with maybe a bit of Basil Rathbone thrown in.

I mean, c'mon - John doesn't even HAVE an English accent!

john longenbaugh has put me off theatre FOREVER!

this recording is funny and all, but it shows exactly why theatre is such a drag. because of pompous windbags like john.

ugh. i can't believe this was all strated by that janky rachel corrie's "play" post.

thanks for ruining theatre forever john.

why do I feel like someone who says that a play/person/article has "put me off theatre forever" is the same sort of person who would change their vote based on a 30 second TV ad?

i was already a lost cause after seeing so much bad theater in town, you only pushed me over the edge, john.

you = boring loser.
