My one experience at the Boat Street was so disappointing I've never wanted to return. I went by myself for lunch. I was neglected by the staff (hostess, waiter and, later, manager). My order took a very long time and was served cold. I sent it back. They put it in the microwave and returned it to me. I asked for another entree and ended up asking for the manager. I was comped a dessert (which they pulled from a counter top and placed on my table), and left to eat my cold pork loin.
Really terrible service and food.

Hi -

I am the manager and co-owner of Boat Street Kitchen and I'm very sad to read this review. I agree that the situation as described is absolutely unacceptable but it doesn't sound like us. In fact, I cannot recall any complaint that I've been asked to handle on the floor this year.

In any case, I always put the customer first and I would never comp a dessert in lieu of a bad meal. I'd also like to say that we don't microwave meat - ever; and, we don't have desserts pre-plated on our countertop. One of the reasons that we're slow is that we do make and plate everything from scratch. Lastly, we only have a hostess/host on Sundays.

I apologize for any bad experience you may have had and I'd like to look into this further. If you send me your name, the approximate date of your bad experience, and your email address, I will send you back a gift certificate.

Thank you for your help in this matter.
