Smash Putt SPORTS/BOOZE
Smash Putt

Remember Smash Putt? The temporary bar where people played Rube Goldberg–style mini golf? Seattle's industrial-art freaks have brought it back: the golf-ball cannons, the pneumatic ball-smashing devices, the mazes and catapults, the tests of timing and coordination, and the booze. Always the booze. It’s a hell of a time, but it will only be around for a few weeks. You should buy tickets online soon—the early dates are already selling out. (Smash Putt, 1950 First Ave S, smashputt.com, $10–$15, 5 pm–late, 21+, through April 28)

This year they increased the priced, only had two different holes from last year, and the space is half the size. Also, you can just walk in for free so I feel like buying tickets was a scam.

I went this week for the 3rd time in the past 5 years. Sure, it was a little cramped, but I think it was an improvement on last year's noisy clusterfuck. I had a blast! Also: I'm pretty sure the hole featured isn't part of this year's course.

The laser hole...awesome.

Mission Impossib-hole was pretty great. I was bummed that the frogger one had a one log (the middle one) that was broken.

I think the funnest one was probably the one where your friends can screw you up by pressing the button that switches the hole from one side to the other side.
