Thats a whole lot of Koches.

The Koch brothers love money. The Koch brothers hate taxes. The Koch brothers are planning on spending $889 million on the next election cycle so they won't have to pay their own share.

That is a whole lot of money. But all that added SuperPAC cash in the 2012 elections seemed to have very little effect on the outcome. Was that because the funds were poorly managed? Or is there an upper ceiling on how much money can effect a presidential election? You can only buy so many ads before the advertising atmosphere becomes super-saturated, after all.

And here's another thought experiment for you. If income inequality will be as big an issue in 2016 as Jeb Bush and Mitt Romney think it will be, this billion dollars might backfire on the Koches. If a 51 percent majority of the American people believe that the game is rigged in favor of the wealthy, isn't it possible that the American people might resent a pair of indecently wealthy assholes trying to buy the election?
