Montana Governor Declares Emergency Over Yellowstone Spill: A pipeline spill on Saturday morning dumped as much as 1,200 barrels of oil next to the partially frozen Yellowstone River. After residents of Glendive, Montana, started reporting that their tap water smelled like diesel, the city warned residents not to drink it. Montana governor Steve Bullock issued a state of emergency for two counties today as drinking supplies are trucked into the area. We still don't know how much oil made its way into the river, but the EPA reports that evidence of the spill has been found in the drinking supply.
