Extremely popular Seattle alt-rock band Death Cab for Cutie have announced the song titles of their new album, Kintsugi [see below]. The group's first album since 2011's Codes and Keys, Kintsugi comes out March 31 on Atlantic. It's their first release without guitarist/songwriter Chris Walla, who joined the band in 1997 (read his explanation for leaving DCFC here).

Some of Walla's contributions can be heard on Kintsugi, and his departure inspired the title. Discussing said title, bassist Nick Harmer explained to Rolling Stone, "[Kintsugi is] a Japanese style of art where they take fractured, broken ceramics and put them back together with very obvious, real gold. It's making the repair of an object a visual part of its history. That resonated with us as a philosophy, and it connected to a lot of what we were going through, both professionally and personally." Frontman Ben Gibbard added, "A lot of these songs are kind of evocative, they're about my time in Los Angeles."

Kintsugi track list:

1. NO ROOM IN FRAME
2. BLACK SUN
3. THE GHOSTS OF BEVERLY DRIVE
4. LITTLE WANDERER
5. YOU'VE HAUNTED ME ALL MY LIFE
6. HOLD NO GUNS
7. EVERYTHING'S A CEILING
8. GOOD HELP (IS SO HARD TO FIND)
9. EL DORADO
10. INGENUE
11. BINARY SEA
