New World Trade Center Office Building Opens for Business Today: The first office workers at 1 World Trade Center are employees of Conde Nast, the magazine publisher. For now, it's just accounting and HR staffers, but soon the staffs of the New Yorker, Vanity Fair, GQ, and Vogue will work there. Conde Nast will occupy 24 floors. At 1,776 feet, this is the tallest building in the Western Hemisphere.

But a couple days ago they discovered that Truvada "can be effective at preventing HIV infections even if taken intermittently right before and after sex." So effective that they took all the people on placebos off placebos and put them on the real pills early, because the real pills are clearly so effective.

The footage is by Laura Poitras, who also directed the movie. Brendan Kiley calls it a "gut-clenching thriller" and he's absolutely right. Even if you know the whole Edward Snowden story, the movie is a must. Here's when and where it's playing.

Fer Fuck's Sake, Prosecution of the Espionage Act Is Out of Control: I probably shouldn't have watched this 60 Minutes story on the guy who wrote about the Osama bin Laden raid right after watching Citizenfour, the documentary about Edward Snowden. But I did. The Espionage Act is a World War I law that doesn't really apply to these kinds of cases; can you please do something about that, Congress?
