THURS–SAT 10/2–4
COME OUT, COME IN

And so! We ever-so-gaily depart the garish glare of our Prideful summer and flit into the second-most-important span of the annual gay calendar: Halloween season! As the weather cools, our schedule starts to bubble and perk, and some days boast several events that we simply cannot ignore. (Please to keep an eye on Slog for the inevitable weekly overflow.) We begin tonight with a queer-bent comedy event featuring many talents, including James Adomian (whom you shall recognize from Last Comic Standing, if you're into that sort of thing) and Elicia Sanchez (to name but a few), and hosted by the very funny Nick Sahoyah. Nick tells us, "Out & In brings together queer comics in the Northwest, this time as the intro to Gay City's second arts season." Then he says, "I'm so gay that when my guidance counselor asked me what I wanted to be when I grow up, I said, 'Either a cop, a sailor, a construction worker, a guy on a motorcycle, or a garishly dressed Native American.'" Bwahahahaha! Bless. Calamus Auditorium at Gay City, 8 pm, $18, all ages.

THURSDAY 10/2
SEX.WAV DOES FALL

If your queer bent runs more scary/intense/gothic than funny, tonight also brings us a freshly peculiar night of SEX.wav, ho-sted by the inimitable Cherry Sur Bête, Rusty Nails, and Zak the Barber, with Ozma Octavia and Ill Camino on the decks. The theme tonight is "Autumnus," so google that shit and let your imagination run amok. The Mercury, 9 pm, $5, $21+.
