At long last, Seattle's grunge-rap king and impresario of the local "dark wave"— Nacho Picasso—has signed to producer Harry Fraud's Surf School Recordings label (under the new Priority Records, through Capitol Music Group, itself under the Universal Music Group). Fraud is perhaps the era's most recognizable name brand in rap production from the (north) East Coast, with a thick file of joints done with French Montana, Rick Ross, and Curren$y, for starters. (Just think Chinx Drugz' "I'm a Coke Boy (Remix).") Looking at Fraud's discography, it's possible that you might soon hear Nacho pop up with any of those names. Nacho's well-known love of the weird will find a perfect sounding board in Fraud, who thinks nothing of turning old psych-rock jams into locker-room shit-talk rap-fests…
