Surely you know what the reading party is by now, but just in case you're new: Everyone shows up at 6 pm and sits in that room and reads to themselves while a musician plays music and waiters bring you things. The music tonight is Paul Matthew Moore on piano from 6 pm to 8 pm. (He's a composer and performer and member of the University of Washington faculty.) If you'd like a fuller description of the reading party, click on these here letters.

It's free, it's all ages, and it happens in the Fireside Room of the Sorrento Hotel. I'm halfway through The Gutenberg Elegies by Sven Birkerts and I love it. That's what I'll be reading. And you? What will you bring to read?
