In the current Stranger, Ansel Herz points out that on the Eastside, re-charging an electric car means plugging it into "a dirty coal plant in Colstrip, Montana—the eighth-largest source of greenhouse gases in the entire country."

Over the Habitat blog, Charlie Rogers calls that "a cheap shot"—though he adds that "the story does draw some much-needed attention to this awful, green-house gas spewing power plant."
