How was your weekend? I bet it was better than Pastor Mark Driscoll's weekend! On Friday, Driscoll was kicked out of the network of evangelical churches that he helped found. (You can watch local TV coverage of that story over here.)

On Saturday, Warren Throckmorton at Patheos discovered that Mark Driscoll's books are no longer carried by the Lifeway chain of Christian bookstores. According to a Lifeway spokesperson, the books were being pulled "while we assess the developments regarding his ministry." This was probably good timing, because another citation error was found in Driscoll's book Real Marriage, which has been at the center of several plagiarism scandals in the last few months.

And the hits keep coming. Wenatchee The Hatchet reports on a rumor that Jamie Munson, a pastor who has reportedly been with Mars Hill for nearly two decades, has "made the decision to resign from eldership and will be looking for a new church home." Mars Hill's Board of Advisors and Accountability has announced that they're standing by Driscoll. They seem to be the only ones.
