I just received a breathless circus-related email from a friend who knows what she's talking about when it comes to having a great time. Here's the hot tip:

Wednesday evening I happened into the corner store in South Park and noticed coupons for what seemed to be a real, live, traveling Mexican circus called Circo Osorio that would be performing in Burien over the weekend. Naturally, I was mega-intrigued. I convinced some lady friends to accompany me to the opening show last night and we all agreed that this was the most fun any of us had in a long time.

Now, if you are expecting some big, gross production with lots of animals and junk you should steer clear—this is a fucking circus in a parking lot. If it's the little things that blow your mind, like clowns that don't suck, cheap balloons, awesome tricks, cotton candy, and the lost art of this sort of intimate performance, then get thee to Burien immediately!

Tickets are $18, but we hear you should splurge on the ringside seats that cost an extra five bucks and might get you drizzled with authentic clown sweat!
