Ron Paul, Who Ran for President Three Times and Lost Miserably Three Times, Has Advice for Rand Paul's Presidential Campaign

Posted by on Tue, Jul 15, 2014 at 4:28 PM

Human piece of shit Alex Jones is very excited about a Rand Paul presidential campaign. Jones talked with Ron Paul, who is also very excited about a Rand Paul presidential campaign, about how Rand Paul should run for president. Here's Paul's advice for his son:

“It’s the same old story,” Paul said. “You go to his website, and you volunteer, you send money. You do all those things conceivable because it’s a rough road, because the establishment is going to come down hard. And it seems like he may well be the frontrunner right now. If they think he’s out there, believe me they’re going to come down hard. It’s just numbers. It’s just numbers. You gotta have enough people.”

Ron Paul won a little over a million votes in the 2008 primary, and he had 15 delegate votes at the 2008 Republican National Convention, as compared to John McCain's 2343 votes. He topped two million primary votes in 2012 but still came in fourth place after Newt Gingrich. He earned 190 votes from delegates at the 2012 RNC, and Mitt Romney won with 2061 votes. In his 1988 libertarian campaign for president, he earned half of a percent of the popular vote. Advice from Newt Gingrich on how to win a presidential campaign would be more valuable than advice from Ron Paul.

Any presidential campaign by Rand Paul is about feeding his ego and raising money for his senate race and for his own retirement.

Well, if Rand gets to run against Hillary, at least we'll have one choice who opposed the war in Iraq.

Those who can, do. Those who can't become teachers and consultants.

@7: I enjoy Jones, but purely at a camp level. The fact that anyone takes him seriously is pretty scary.

@ 8, Nader isn't running for president and isn't advising anyone on how to win. Without that, your comment is just the butthurt spleen venting of someone who is overcompensating for his underdeveloped political intellect and immature sense of offense at being dissed for it.

I'm just pointing out the obvious: Ron Paul wasn't really in it to win it but was just trying to make a point and get his message out. That is what Paul Constant missed. And no one can honestly say libertarianism isn't more popular now than it was before Ron Paul ran.
