Your Big Sodas Are Safe from the Clutching Paws of the Nanny State

Posted by on Thu, Jun 26, 2014 at 11:27 AM

Relax, people: New York City's ban on large sodas has been shot down by the New York State Supreme Court. Now you don't have to worry about how you're going to carry four 16-ounce sodas around the city when what you really want is one 64-ounce cup. Freedom!

It's not freedom until New Yorkers are able to openly carry their handguns and assault rifles to secure their rights to those 64 ouncers and also not have to look at two guy or two girls holding hands or kissing or any of that homo stuff that is totally cool, but they shouldn't shove it in anyone's face.

N.Y. Supreme Court is a trial court.

What an utter waste of time and resources that proposed ban has been.

@2 NY is confusing. This was the Court of Appeals, their highest, not the Supreme Court. Paul's blurb is wrong.

You can have my giant bucket of high fructose corn syrup when you pluck it from my cold, flabby, diabetic hand.

@3,6: Agreed. We still aren't serious about gun control or drunk driving but we're going to pick a battle about soda. Crazy.
