The Sunset is Closing for a Seven-Week Remodel

Posted by on Wed, Jun 25, 2014 at 12:06 PM

Starting in August, 14-year-old Ballard venue The Sunset Tavern will be closing for seven weeks to get some remodeling done. They're putting in a new lounge called Betty's Room, and the live-music/stage area will get a hot new facelift in the way of improved lighting, sight lines, sound, and more. Can't wait to see the new digs!

For more info check the PSA video, starring a pup named Bella (who, incidentally, broke her little leg last night—get well, Bella)!

An improved expanded Sunset is long overdue. To go there is to basically enter a narrow hallway with a bar on one side and wall on the other with a stage at the end. Hopefully more places to enable one to get a good view of a band without standing in front of the stage.
