I've told you about authors protesting the Amazon-Hachette dispute. The newest author to join the chorus is a big name: John Green, now on tour in support of the film adaptation of his novel The Fault in Our Stars, accused Amazon of using "bully" tactics.

"What's ultimately at stake is whether Amazon is going to be able to freely and permanently bully publishers into eventual nonexistence," Green, whose "The Fault In Our Stars" tops Amazon's best-seller list, said Monday... "The breadth of American literature and the quality of American literature is in no small part due to the work that publishers do, and it's very unfortunate, in my opinion, to see Amazon refuse to acknowledge the importance of that partnership," said Green...

Yesterday's big-name author to come out against Amazon was Malcolm Gladwell. I don't know who tomorrow's big-name author will be. Has anyone asked Stephen King how he feels about all this?
