The star and co-director of this week’s film “Shawnsey’s Revenge” is Linas Phillips, a local filmmaker who made Bass Ackwards, Great Speeches from a Dying World, and Walking to Werner (he also won the 2007 Genius Award in film). Christian Anderson, another local filmmaker, co-directed and photographed the short, which is set on Capitol Hill and concerns a comedian, Shawnsey (played by Phillips), who is funny precisely because he is not at all funny. Be warned: Shawnsey’s jokes are NSFW and the ending of the film (the moment of revenge) is rather distasteful.
