Here's a List of Studio Gear and Instruments Stolen From Seattle Musician Rafael Irisarri

Posted by on Tue, May 27, 2014 at 4:36 PM

Seattle musician Rafael Anton Irisarri and his wife Rita's moving truck was stolen May 26 around 4:17 am. The couple were set to move to Westchester County, New York that day, but their plans have been derailed. They lost nearly all of their possessions, including a great deal of recording equipment that the thieves will surely try to sell... and a 900-pound piano. "We are asking friends, listeners and followers to track down the truck and/or keep an eye on Craigslist/Ebay for items listed here based out of Seattle-area," Rafael Irisarri wrote on his Tumblr.

Tell me Rafael that you weren't too cheap to pay the $8 or so per month it costs for renter's or homeowner's insurance? You shouldn't have anything to worry about here. It will all be covered minus your deductable, unless you made the horrible choice to gamble everything you own to save the price of a latte once a month.

I'm surprised that a modern rental vehicle or car from a reputable company does not have a gps transponder.

As a musician, I feel the pain. I sincerely, hope he gets his stuff back.

Good lord, he had a lot of $$ in there. If I had had all that in one place and it was my life's work, I'd have at least invested in a club for the steering wheel or slept in the truck. He was very trusting.

5 - so the guy who pays into the community insurance pool to cover any major loss to him or his neighbors is the a**? And the guy who buys an abundance of fancy expensive equipment and then expects everyone else to spend their time and effort to find it since he chose to overextend his budget instead of paying his $8 a month share into the pot is the one we should admire and loathe?
