"How could a human fly?" This is what Elizabeth Streb has always wanted to know, and what she founded a dance company to find out. Of course, they can't, but that's no reason to stop trying. Her dancers slam into the floor, into walls. They're out-there. Also radical: The women in the company are built like steel, not willow branches. "From the moment I was born, I had this rage," one of the female dancers says. If you can relate, and I can, Born to Fly is a dance documentary that will make you feel less alone in the world. Born to Fly plays today at the SIFF Cinema Uptown at 5:30 pm.
