The multimedia artist Clyde Petersen is a finalist for the prize. Petersen already wins the award for Best Blog Ever, with reviews of every LGBT film at Scarecrow Video. A sample of the review of the movie Jerker: This film is about two men who develop a LTR having phone sex. The first hour is a shitload of jerking off. It’s hot. But the parts where they pretend to be an older and a younger brother jerking off together was not. Then things get really sad.

And they are...

In painting, Susanna Bluhm, Robert Hardgrave, Kimberly Trowbridge, and Claude Zervas. (Zervas is a painter? Hey, make the case and we'll see.)

In open medium, Maikoiyo Alley-Barnes, Mark Calderon, Clyde Petersen, and Joey Veltkamp.

That's a fairly varied crew (still white and male heavy); judging was done by Jeffry Mitchell, Tim Detweiler, and Lele Barnett. Congratulations to all, and the winners will be announced in the fall when an exhibition of all their work opens at Cornish September 3. All finalists receive $1,500 but the winners get $25,000 each.
