Today's SIFF Picks

Posted by on Mon, May 19, 2014 at 11:06 AM

Would you run away with your group therapy crew? Erika is pushed by her partner to go to therapy after a traumatic birth experience results in a deep depression that rips her life apart. Everyone in the group seems like a weirdo until one says something that helps Erika open up and inspires her to address her problems by becoming an entirely different person. They check into a hotel to do this role-playing gone psychiatric, and danger seeps in when they realize they really don’t know each other at all. Thank god the film is Swedish; Americans are way too uptight for this scenario to play out in any way that’s worth watching. (DANIELLE HENDERSON)

Hotell plays today at the SIFF Cinema Uptown at 6:30 pm.

Um. Well if you insist but a lot of people didn't like Of Horses and Men ...

I'd see DamNation, or Mystery Road.

Tomorrow: Age of Uprising, Last Year at Marienbad, Muse of Fire, and the 9:30 showing of Witching and Bitching at the Egyptian after class
