- My Dad Was In A Band
- Why didn't these guys go anywhere?
Was your dad in a band? Do you like reading about people whose fathers played in groups? Then My Dad Was in a Band could be a favorite site for you.
It consists of reminiscences of pops both famous and obscure and describes what it feels like to have a parent who played music professionally. It's a simple and fascinating concept. Some of the posts are by the spawn of members from Prince and the Revolution, the Byrds, Hawkwind, Death, Twisted Sister, the Lyres, and many more. I'd like to see The Stranger's Larry Mizell Jr. contribute to this (although his father's technically more of a composer/producer/arranger, but you know...).
