The Best AND the Worst Rolling Stones Clip

Posted by on Tue, May 6, 2014 at 7:00 AM

Here is a clip from Ready Steady Go featuring the Rolling Stones lip syncing, poorly, to Sonny & Cher's hit "I Got You Babe." I know this was broadcast in 1965, but does contemporary teen/pop TV still produce this level of profoundly cheesy shit as hip entertainment? Whatever, it's so silly it's entertaining.

The girl whom Brian Jones is "singing" at/with is Ready Steady Go presenter, Cathy McGowan, and the Stones' manager, Andrew "Loog" Oldham, makes an appearance with the Stones as if he's in the band.

That is a guilty pleasure all right. Surreal! Brian Jones' antics with Keith's are funny. Indeed, the Best & the Worst Rolling Stones' clip ever.

Did Jones really yawn in the middle of it?

Too bad he couldn't swim.
