The small DIY boutique/gallery/venue Cairo will be putting on its annual Vibrations festival this year on Aug. 3 at the Amphitheater at Volunteer Park. The free event will feature live performances by many bands tba and yoga sessions led by Emily Denton held on the roof of Capitol Hill's Biltmore Apartments. If past Vibrations are indicative, the lineup will skew toward the unslicker, more eccentric end of the indie-music spectrum.

Instead of corporate sponsorship this year, Vibrations is running an Indiegogo fundraising campaign. One of the benefits of participating in this campaign includes a copy of the Cold Jungle II compilation, which consists of tracks by Northwest greats like La Luz, Brain Fruit, Numbs, Dreamsalon, Mount Eerie, Weed, FF, Wimps, Dude York, King Dude, and more. (The album comes out in August.) There will also be limited-edition T-shirts designed by artists Emily Pothast, Shana Cleveland, and Aidan Fitzgerald. Learn more info about the campaign here.
