In anticipation of Sunday night's final season premiere, Seattle-based chanteuse, Prom Queen, played a Mad Men themed party at Vito's on Saturday night. In classic Seattle fashion, most of the attendees were not dressed on theme, but those that put in the effort really looked stunning. The ’90s hiphop blaring in the lounge was a little counterproductive to the ’60s ambience, but once Prom Queen started playing, it was all gorgeous cinematic, vintage rock 'n' roll vibes. Opening with "Night Sound" off of her 2012 full-length album of the same name, Prom Queen's set was a modge podge of originals and covers, with her steamy rendition of Madonna's "Justify My Love" being a notable highlight. Closing the night out with a hauntingly melancholic cover of INXS's "Never Tear Us Apart" with Ty Foster lending a hand on vocals, the set was sad and sexy, dark, layered, and complicated, all at the same time, much like Mad Men itself.
