This is the second outstanding mashup that’s flickered by my face in the last couple of weeks. Maybe we’re experiencing a resurgence of creativity in that niche art form—or maybe the quality’s remained high over recent years and we just stopped paying close attention. Whatever the case, this audio/visual convergence of two of America’s biggest musical icons of the ’60s—James Joseph Brown Jr. and Robert Allen Zimmerman—makes for a witty contrast, and the call-and-response edits are pretty tight.

Tip: James Williamson (the Stooges’ guitarist, of all people)
