Luc Besson has been behind some of the most stylish—and brainless—action movies of the past decade or so. This August will see the release of Lucy, his most recent film as writer/director. It stars Scarlett Johansson as a drug mule-turned superhero, and it looks like this:

My first reaction after watching this trailer is that I would really, really like to introduce a moratorium on movies based around the false premise that humans only use ten percent of their brains. It's not true. It's a lie. I know filmmakers want to have a science-y percentage to hang their superpowers on, but this one is as old as dirt and it's been played to death. Find a new way to explain brain-powers, please.
