This week's short film is the first part of a series called Capitol Hill (which David Schmader first reviewed here). This episode is presented by Seattle drag queen superstar BenDeLaCreme, who happens to be a front-runner on RuPaul's Drag Race Season 6.

Directed by Wes Hurley and starring the inimitable Waxie Moon, Capitol Hill operates on another level of humor. It makes one laugh not in the bottom of the belly but at the bottom of the mind. The show imagines Portland as a rural town with people who have very close relationships with their farm animals. Seattle, on the other hand, is a big city that finds itself at the center of the universe of all human desires: it has the house you want, the restaurants you want, and the man you want. The hero arrives in this dazzling place wearing a sack. Let the insanity begin...
