The "Roar" and "I Kissed a Girl" singer, apparently impressed by the retrospective of James Turrell's work at the Los Angeles County Museum of Art, hyped him on Twitter this weekend. (Is that her wearing his art like a dog cone?)

No word on what the 70-year-old Quaker artist thinks of the 29-year-old singer. He probably will not Tweet about it. A search for his name on Twitter leads only to @JamesTurrellArt, which has a single Tweet, posted April 14, 201412:

I used to suspect my career was going nowhere. I now realize when you find yourself in the middle of nowhere you're probably near my art.

In Seattle, check out James Turrell's Skyspace four days a week at the Henry Art Gallery. Maybe you'll run into Katy Perry there. If you do not find her, consider instead pulling up the epic back-and-forth "'Roar' and the Search for Meaning" by Paul Constant and Cienna Madrid from last year. Excerpt: "Now, instead of squirting whipped cream, her mechanical-nipple bras will squirt expired milk and tax forms."
