You can see Robert Davidson's Abstract Impulse exhibition at Seattle Art Museum. The vivid show pops—it's situated right at the top of the escalator, holding pride of place in the modern and contemporary galleries that greet visitors when they first hit the museum's central floor. This was important to curator Barbara Brotherton, because works by living artists with indigenous North American ancestry are often segregated from the rest of contemporary art. Not this one. The show closes Sunday, so hurry. I may try to get down there and spend more time with it myself. Interview with the artist here.
