It's Valentine's Day: The Google doodle is fun—start with first kiss. If you're single, thank your lucky stars. Don't be afraid to get really into your fan fic today. Fuck before you go out to eat. Or just stay home and watch House of Cards season two, which went up at midnight.

Virginia Same-Sex Marriage Ban Overturned: "Through its decision today, the court has upheld the principles of equality upon which this nation was founded."

Amber Alert: Snohomish uthorities are looking for this mother and her newborn son, fearing the worst since she is allegedly a heavy methamphetamine user and the baby, born in a hotel room, hasn't received any medical attention yet.

If You Can't Go Around It: There are lots of drug tunnels in Nogales, Arizona, but authorities just found one longer than 11 1/2 football fields—the biggest one yet.

The Worst Paying Careers in Washington: I can't even make a joke about it—this shit is bleak.

Five Dollars Says He Works In a Shirtless Bit: Seattle native Joel McHale will host the White House Correspondents' Dinner.

Everything is Terrible: Twenty-six year old Salvador Sanchez-Orozco has been charged with the murder of his 2-year old daughter.

Mute Mute Mute: There are over 10,000 racist slurs posted to Twitter daily, and the culprits from this article look pretty much how you think they'll look.

This Is Why We Can't Have Nice Things: Olympia bans drinking in an attempt to crack down on littering and people peeing on things.

Tonight, We Ride! Maybe!: City council is trying to figure out how to regulate illegal rideshare programs like Lyft and UberX, and are considering a new plan to regulate the services.

Ride It, My Pony: Evgeni Plushenko has dropped out of the men's figure skating at the Olympics and retired. Godspeed, good knight, and let's hope this remix of your "Sex Bomb" routine gets you into some kind of Hall of Fame.

It seems like Olympia's ban on selling high alcohol beverages to combat downtown urination would be counterproductive. The drunks would have to drink, and piss out, more low alcohol beverages to get the desired effect.

It's 1 1/2 football fields, not 11 1/2. Which is why the football field is a stupid fucking measurement. I thought it was stupider, though. 11 1/2 fooball fields is almost exactly 1 kilometer, and I was wondering who the hell would choose such a useless measurement in such a situation. "Oh yeah, I can picture the distance of 11 1/2 football fields, but a kilometer? What're we, commies?"

Those aren't the culprits. Those two were sending Twitter threats to an English feminist who wanted to get a woman on a bank note.

FTA: The most frequently used racial slur was, by a long margin, ‘white boy’. Just less than half of all tweets (48.9 per cent) containing racial slurs used the term, with an average daily use of 4,890 tweets a day.

Interesting. Many people in the USA wouldn't even consider that a racial slur. So almost half of all racist tweets are against white guys?

“While there are a lot of racial slurs being used on Twitter, the overwhelming majority of them are not used in an obviously prejudicial or hateful way,” said Jamie Barlett, director of the CASM social media unit at Demos and author of the report.

We should get the drug cartels to dig the waterfront tunnel. They have a lot of proven experience.

The Ultimate Terrorist Threat to America

In Matt Taibbi's latest article, he neatly sums up why any non-traitor, any decent American, must finally realize that JPMorgan Chase and Goldman Sachs are the two greatest threat to Americans and America, and everyone working there must be put to death.

Then, those two companies are not to be broken up, but completely dissolved.

Any congresspeople, other politicians, and police who have received money from those two organizations should be exterminated!

It is simply not that they have rigged and gamed everything, but that they have done so in such a matter, that the rigged markets are played off one another, to extract --- or rather steal --- the most money imaginable, while screwing up everything, trashing entire economies and lives and increasing the long march of anti-progress! (Also called interoperability.)

(Unfortunately, while I've always appreciated Taibbi's writing and articles, he doesn't fully yet still understand this, but he is evolving.)

Some traitor scum will, no doubt, believe these are extreme measures, but as anyone who is sane with a brain and literate enough to read both Taibbi's article, and the Better Markets lawsuit against the Department of Justice and their ludicrous settlement with America's number one criminal organization, JPMorgan Chase, will see the light.

JPMorgan Chase's perfidy goes back many years, from hiding billions of dollars of loans to Enron as commodity trades in the late 1990s, to today's crimes.

@3, it's also just the longest tunnel ever found in the town of Nogales, not the entire border. There have been numerous tunnels between Mexico and the US discovered elsewhere that are many times longer than 400 feet -- I think the longest is close to a kilometer.

Olympia: homeless alcoholics are urinating in public because they don't have anywhere else to urinate. Stop concern-trolling, and build some public restrooms.

Let's terraform the Half Tunnel using Arthur C. Clark's vision (ok, his was for an asteroid, but similar):

DANIELLE darling;

here is a respectful and on topic comment for your Dangerous Black Kids post....

if black children grow up in a system where they are dehumanized and targeted for simply existing it is because black adults have created it.
when black men finally start to father the children they spawn, and only thenm, will the plight of black children improve.

for every black child killed by a white vigilante a thousand are killed by other black kids.
and NOBODY in black America GIVES A SHIT.

If you live in a different America it is because you have carved out your own cultural hell niche.

go ahead

beat your breast and bawl your phony tears.

no one is fooled.....
