We Have Our Third

Posted by on Thu, Jan 23, 2014 at 3:42 PM

Concerning the celebrity law of threes: Today has seen the arrest of kid-pop menace Justin Bieber, the indictment-by-federal-grand-jury of revenge-porn shitbag Hunter Moore, and now, our third schadenfreude-rich legal doing of the day: "Dinesh D'Souza, a conservative commentator and best-selling author, has been indicted by a federal grand jury for arranging excessive campaign contributions to a candidate for the U.S. Senate," reports Reuters.

For those needing a reminder of D'Souza's d-baggery, a sample tweet:

Maybe he can re-find Jesus in prison, and emerge with a revitalized grift.

And yet Bieber will still get all the coverage. Thanks for letting us know about this one.

I've hated that guy since Reagan days. Maybe I can now lay that burden down.
Dinesh has argued that the Abu Ghraib torture and prisoner abuse scandal was a result of “the sexual immodesty of liberal America”.
and (ibid.)
[Re:]...D'Souza's activities after a September 28, 2012 talk in Spartanburg, S.C., ...D'Souza, who was married at the time, checked into a hotel with another woman, and left with her the following day. [When that became public,] D'Souza stated that he had separated from his wife, Dixie. He also confirmed that he had been engaged to the woman, ...Denise Odie Joseph; he later suspended that engagement after the article prompted an investigation by officials at The King’s College where D'Souza served as president. It was later revealed that Mrs. Joseph was also married at the time. He officially filed for divorce from Dixie on October 4, 2012.

After the news of the engagement became public, the trustees of The King's College announced after meeting on October 17, 2012 that D'Souza resigned his position as president of the university in order "to attend to his personal and family needs."
IOKIYAR. Karma, bitch.

This news may make me re-consider my atheism. Dinesh D'Souza has been a strong contender for the worst human being alive since back in the 80s when he was pulling "hilarious" racist pranks back at Dartmouth. His ability to fall upward through the following decades was the most eloquent testament possible to the power of Wingnut Welfare. The idea that he could, even for a second, find himself in Federal Pound Me In The Ass Prison™ is almost too joyous to contemplate.

@6: See, he's properly embarassed about his sex. The problem with us liberals is that we're ok with it!

A-freakin'-men. Couldn't happen to a nicer POS, though intimations of this have been brewing..he got booted from King's College.

Brilliant @1.

D'Souza has often repeated that by being immodest, America was to blame for 9/11. He's a fundamentalist treasonous bastard.

@11: yeah, and it wasn't just a talk show blurt-out. He wrote a whole book expounding on his thesis. If only the American right would make common cause with the Taliban, together they could crush liberal social values, and no longer would there be any need for Islamic terrorism! Talk about win-win.
