Pot-laced cupcakes may not be available at Cupcake Royale, but that doesn't preclude them from being available at other pot stores...

@13: Usually just butter, water, and marijuana in a crockpot overnight, no carcinogens from high-temperature extraction.

@11: THC is bound by fat - and though you can control the amount of butter used in baked goods (brownies have the most), if it has chocolate and frosting I can't control myself. One hour later I'm an inconsolable mess curled up in a corner [maybe chronic stoners like Dom can hang, but..]

At least mushrooms taste like shit.

@ 11, given that marijuana smoke contains several different carcinogens, perhaps ingesting it is the way to go. But I'm assuming that the process of drawing out THC for use in baked goods doesn't also draw out other carcinogens that end up in said baked goods.

In my day we got high and then ate cupcakes.

Some people can't inhale smoke due to a medical condition. Eating is an option.
I would want my children to have to ask if a cupcake is ok to eat.
And you wouldn't want every edible outlawed because it could be viewed as marketing weed to children.

Good, I don't want my pot cupcakes to be dried out and nasty with hardened frosting that you can pull off the top.

when the cosmos takes a dump on your weed-cakes just see it for the opportunity that it is: The Stranger hosts the first annual pot cup-cake bake-offs(!) proceeds to Dr Savage's favorite charity.

Beware; eating dope hits you harder than smoking it. There is also a risk of panic attacks and one's physical coordination is severely compromised. It also takes longer to recover from.Ask me how I know! I do NOT recommend eating anything pot-or-hash-laced unless you are at home, or somewhere you can stay safe until it leaves your system.

@2, it must be pretty kush, infusing your comment from there, but I wouldn't stir the pot until the regulations are all hashed out.

@3: Brownies use a fuckton of butter. Cookies use less and are easier to break up into portions.

My worst experiences with marijuana: brownies and cupcakes. Way too difficult to attenuate the dosage.

WEED sure have liked that, though the cost would probably have been HIGH.

Oh, my - we have simply *decades* of marijuana-related puns to look forward to!

Probably for the best. "I just couldn't stop eating them" is the beginning of many terrible pot stories.
