The silent-reading party is the first Wednesday of every month, but the first Wednesday of this month was New Year's Day, so we rescheduled it for tomorrow. Man, there's nothing like drippy weather to put you in the mood for reading by the fire. The special guests tomorrow will be Linda Derschang, whose new restaurant Tallulah's opened a couple weeks ago, and Danielle Henderson, who joined The Stranger as a staff writer four days ago.

As always, the special guests will just sit there silently reading to themselves whatever they feel like reading, just like you, while a man plays a harp and a waiters bring you things. It's from 6 pm to 9 pm at the Fireside Room at the Sorrento Hotel, it's all ages, and it's free.
