I sure hope you’re feeling musical today, because both the events we’ve suggested are music. I did this on purpose. Why? I honestly don’t remember.

One of them is a Beethoven Symphony at Benaroya, the one with Ode to Joy in it. You can dress up a little if you want, chat over a glass of wine with the blue hairs pre-show, tastefully doze during the performance (common practice among the dead and dying), and critique the evening with (and, in doing so, become one of) your annoying nerd friends.

Your other option is a band called The Spits (whoops, I just threw up through the yawn I’m still yawning from when I was thinking about the Seattle Symphony), a punk (?) band playing at Chop Suey. This won't be restful. Kelly O says of the show that, “you will gladly walk away with bruises,” which I find troubling. Masochism aside, the whole thing sounds downright grimy.
