The New Mexico Supreme Court has cleared the way for gay marriage in the state.
On Thursday, the state's highest court declared state marriage laws unconstitutional and upheld New Mexico county clerks' decisions to issue marriage licenses to same-sex couples.
New Mexico is the 17th state to legalize gay marriage.
